As the Fourth of July approaches, let us remember all we are grateful for in this country, and let us pledge to help protect all we are grateful for. Here’s a few ideas:

• Thank a veteran for your freedom.
• Don’t litter. Recycle.
• Help out  a political campaign through time or money. Take action on issues of concern to working families at NYSUT’s Member Action Center.

We’ve all learned the hard way this past few years how much job cuts hurt. Let’s support each other in big ways and small matters. So make a choice to support your union workers by truly making your cookout a Made in the U.S.A. celebration!
