It can happen here

Yesterday’s Syracuse Post-Standard has this amazing story by Marnie Eisenstadt about the sweatshop conditions endured by 19 workers at our state fair.

Yes, our state fair here in central New York. Workers promised $10.71 an hour and paid $1. Workers forced to work hour after hour with no break. Of course they weren’t paid enough to buy food and they had to resort to begging. In Syracuse, this happened.
