Bullying has become a major social justice issue, one that NYSUT and its national affiliates have put their weight behind. Now, several of the cable networks have come on board.
Tonight, “The Bully Effect: An Anderson Cooper Special” — a production of CNN in partnership with the Cartoon Network — premieres, chronicling the journeys of a bullied child, a grieving parent, a victim of violence and a filmmaker turned activist. The program begins at 10 p.m.
According to promotional material from CNN: “Each has become a powerful foot soldier in the high-stakes battle against bullying, inspiring a grassroots movement that has helped spark sweeping changes from school policies to state laws to federal legislation.”
The special will re-air at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 3, and at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 9.
