While we don’t get to see too much presidential campaign advertising in this state, that doesn’t mean there aren’t ads.
One thing I find interesting is that one candidate seems to be getting more money from individuals while another is getting funds from committees. Who wins will be based on turnout, as NYSUT board member and central New York resident Loretta Donlon says: “A rich man may have millions, but only one vote.”
NYSUT is having a Get Out The Vote social to thank those who have been working hard on voter registration drives and labor walks (and to gear up for the next three weeks). It’s from 5 to 7:30 p.m. this Thursday at the Syracuse Regional Office at 4983 Brittonfield Parkway. Call Andrea at (315) 431-4040 if you haven’t RSVP’d already.
NYSUT has endorsed in many races across the state. Go to the Member Action Center to find out who received the NYSUT endorsement in your area, as well as much more election information, including where you go to vote because, remember, redistricting might have changed your site.
