Amidst all the dreary news, a golden moment shines.
The number of New York teachers who earned national certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards – jumped 14.5 percent in 2011. That means New York now has more than 1,300 teachers who have achieved ‘master teacher’ status. Here’s a link to the list of all 165 from across the state.
