Sun shines a light, as does AQE

AQE and coalition partners are hosting six events around the state today to kickoff the Students First Reality Tour to raise awareness of the impact of this year’s $1.3 billion cut in state education aid.

I stopped by the event in Albany this morning, and before the Troy event this afternoon, here’s some video I captured of grandparent Iris Williams speaking passionately about the impact of 41 jobs lost in Schenectady.

I must make note: It’s rained, or has been cloudy, here in the Capital Region for many days now.

I find it ironic, and coincidental, that when I stepped outside, I saw a glimpse of blue sky.

As I walked to my car, the sun got brighter and brighter. To the point where I even cast a shadow. Here’s proof:

On Twitter, #kidsnotmillionaires is the hashtag to follow the action in real time – and look for more coverage of the AQE events here later today.

Gotta run to the Troy event now!
