Worried for public education

Job cuts of 8 percent, elimination of programs and increased class sizes are making a “radical change in the  dynamics of kids who live there,” said Alexandria Central FA member Mike Montigelli, who teaches fourth grade in the high-needs district near the Canadian border. “It makes me worried for the fabric of our public education,” he said as he headed to the rally. Mike was the lone delegate from his 62-member local.
