Wisconsin judge issues restraining order on anti-union law

Via Twitter comes word that a Wisconsin judge has issued a temporary restraining order on Gov. Walker’s anti-union legislation – the so-called “budget repair bill” that sneaked its way to the Senate floor last week.

I’ll link to news reports as they become available. In the meantime, get the backstory, and follow the breaking news on Twitter by using the hashtag #wiunion or by following @wsjcourts.

UPDATE: Here’s an initial report from the Wisconsin State Journal.

And the takeaway from Talking Points Memo: “It would appear the state senators can still go through the motions again and pass the bill without cutting the same corners.”

Here’s the statement from Wisconsin Educators Association Council.
