Jon Stewart: ‘Pish, posh, piffle’

Jon Stewart — as only Jon Stewart can — delivered a hilarious “Message to teachers” on The Daily Show Monday night. I won’t spoil the fun. You need to watch for yourself.

This was great. It’s all over the web. And anyone who hasn’t seen Randi on Colbert (last week) should go find it. There is some real support out there, and we need to fan those flames.

Don’t usually watch the Daily Show, but at least he got it right!

Here’s more evidence of “greedy teachers” from a July 2010 CBS Money Watch article on Payscale, Inc.’s 20 Worst-Paying College Degrees in 2010: http://moneywatch.bnet.com/saving-money/blog/college-solution/20-worst-paying-college-degrees-in-2010/2618/.

I get a kick out of reporter Lynn O’Shaughnessy’s lead: “If you want to avoid the worst-paying college degrees, think twice before choosing a college major that involves children.”

Betsy, I want to thank you for your tireless work on this blog. I’m with an AFT affiliated local in another state and we are reading your blog here, too. Different states, same issues.
