Annie McClintock of United Teaching Assistants of Harborfields brought a bag of smiley faces painted onto brightly colored stones that her 89-year-old mother made for her.
“They are to thank all of the people who supported me at the RA, and especially for the people like you who work behind the scenes,” McClintock said. (Annie and Carrie Meyers-Herron were the first winners of the James J. Scott scholarhip.)
The RA is the union’s Representative Assembly. “That was so overwhelming,” McClintock said. “When I told my mother about it she came up with this idea to thank people.”
Mine is green. And Annie, you’re most welcome.
